Myself and my family have always been treated with courtesy and care by the whole practice team. We would recommend the practice to anyone and consider ourselves very lucky to have such a good GP practice.

My 89 year old mother moved to the area nearly 3 years ago and registered with the practice. Compared to her previous surgery, they are a delight to deal with. I had to make an appointment for her recently and was sceptical of the online form I was required to fill out. However, I had a reply within 10 minutes, offering an emergency appointment. Dr Zeffert-Anderson took a lot of time with my mother and was very patient and empathetic, so my mother left the appointment reassured. I have been very impressed with the practice overall.

It would have been helpful when I first called to make the appointment if someone had explained that the online appointment system is a much quicker way of triaging.

I’ve been registered with Thameside for 16 years. In the past the receptionists tended to (not always but often) fit the cliche of being unhelpful, occasionally quite rude and rather scary. Not now! I’ve been welcomed and treated kindly and with care by two receptionists (sorry if I’ve got the job title wrong) this last week and what a difference it makes to one’s day as you step out of the surgery. Together with seeing Dr Chloe Zeffert-Anderson, who is a warm professional and empathetic GP, Thameside has really upped its game. Everything a medical practice needs to be despite such difficult times for our overstretched NHS.

Nothing that can be done better given the burden the NHS is under.

It's 12th April today, I called Thameside this morning needing an appointment with a GP with a reasonable degree of urgency. Of course receptionists at Thameside don't do urgent or helpful, just contempt. Either the doctors have lost the plot completely or they are not in control of what was happening and so what I was offered was a telephone triage appointment for 11th May four weeks away. This is utterly disgraceful and completely unacceptable. Like others, I will go elsewhere, other GP practices in this patch are better, don't suffer this awful practice.

Where do I start? Remember you patients are paying for your services. Start providing them.

Such a shame, receptionists are so unprofessional & unhelpful, some just damn right rude ! Admin needs a look at, so far two of my hospital referrals have either gone to the wrong hospital or not sent at all ! Appointments are very difficult to get within two weeks. Very disappointing as the doctors are actually very good.
